From the Pittsburgh Business Journal. Valerie Kinloch has been inaugurated as Johnson C. Smith University’s new president. Kinloch, a Charleston native who earned her undergraduate degree from JCSU in 1996, was previously dean of the school of education at the University of Pittsburgh. She started her new job on Aug. 1 last year, and was officially inaugurated during a ceremony on April 5. JCSU’s enrollment as of last year was 1,100.
