  • As part of a strategic investment for a transformative expansion of the faculty of the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, the Department of Chemistry at Johns Hopkins University (~~~) is poised for significant growth in the coming years. To this end, we invite applications from outstanding candidates for a tenure-track position in areas of chemistry that overlap with a university-wide research cluster in sustainable transformations and energy. Candidates in areas of inorganic chemistry and other areas of preparative or synthetic chemistry that are focused on catalysis, earth-abundant metals, energy transformations and sustainability, are particularly encouraged to apply.

    Successful candidates will join Chemistry and the Ralph O'Connor Sustainable Energy Institute (ROSEI), the university's home for the sustainable transformations and energy cluster (~~~/bdp-cluster-faculty-hiring/). ROSEI provides unique programming for its faculty as it spans the development and implementation of critical sustainable energy technologies to aid in the energy transition.

    The anticipated starting date is July 1, 2024. Applicants at the Assistant Professor level are the focus of the search, but exceptional candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level will be considered.
