  • The Johns Hopkins University's Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering seeks applicants for several tenure-track faculty positions for early career applicants. Research areas are open; however, we would like to build on our strengths in catalysis/separations/energy, in computational science and machine learning, and in biomolecular engineering. We are interested in those with computational and/or experimental foci. The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering has 20 tenured and tenure-track faculty, in addition to affiliated faculty in many divisions of the University. The department has significant representation in major research centers and institutes on campus including the Institute for NanoBioTechnology (INBT), the Maryland Area Research Computing Center (MARCC) and the Hopkins Extreme Materials Institute (HEMI). We have large vibrant educational programs at the undergraduate, master's and Ph.D. levels. More information about the Department can be found at ~~~/. The Whiting School of Engineering comprises over 200 full time tenure-track, research, and teaching-track faculty in nine academic programs with a total annual research budget of over $100 million. Research partnerships with the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Applied Physics Laboratory, Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences make the Whiting School of Engineering a unique research and educational environment. Student enrollment exceeds 1800 at the undergraduate level with over 1000 full time MS and PhD students. The Engineering for Professionals program enrolls over 2000 part time continuing education students and is the largest program of its kind in the country. Applicants must hold an earned doctorate in an appropriate field by the time their appointment begins. Candidates must have demonstrated an ability to conduct outstanding independent research and show promise for excellent teaching, mentoring and entrepreneurship in all areas.
