Technical Training Specialist

A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

A technical training specialist prepares and coordinates training, record keeping, and assist technical trainers in developing technical and soft skills courses for the workforce. A technical training specialist will work with outside vendors as needed to secure instructors. Responsibilities will also include managing purchasing orders and supporting other groups on special projects as needed.

How You'll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

• Create content for various groups within the organization

• Work cross-functionally to gather requirements for new training content

• Manage training documentation

• Develop training schedules and classroom agendas for transformer-related courses.

• Coordinate training sessions to optimize learning outcomes.

• Monitor the effectiveness of current training programs and help create strategies for improved training experiences

• Coordinate trainings with both internal and external instructors

• Develop course documents, training catalogs, and department training communications

• Complete purchase orders and goods receipts for training vendors, track training costs and revenue

• Work directly with finance to complete financial reports for training costs/revenue

What You Bring (requirements)

• Bachelor's degree or an associate degree with at least 8 years of experience

• Knowledge of power industry

• Effective presentation skills

• Proficient in MS Office

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service

• Troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities

• Attention to deadlines and timely completion of assignments

• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
