  • JOB SUMMARY

    The Clinical Educator/Supervisor works collaboratively with the Leadership Team of the care area to ensure that educational needs are met. The RN collaborates with all disciplines in the department and Educators/CNS peers to ensure that mechanisms are in place to maintain quality patient care and in accordance with regulatory standards. Provides staff with support and facilitates orientation, continuing education. Serves as an active member on hospital committees related to clinical education. Acts as a role model for professional nursing practice. Responsibilities include leading, supervising, and influencing the daily operational activities. Participates in rotational on-call duties including, but not limited to, responding to emergency situations, maintenance malfunctions, or staffing situations that require coverage.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)

    Five years of previous clinical experience

    Current California RN license

    Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA

    At least one year of previous experience as a preceptor

    Current PALS certification (unless NICU or CAPS)

    NRP certification (NICU)

    ACLS certification within 12 months of hire (if ED)

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Master's Degree

    Two years of previous clinical education experience

    The expected hiring range for this position is $70.96 to $97.57
