    University Instructors(UI)isseekingdynamicface-to-face elementary and secondaryleadinstructorssupporting studentsin gradesK-5. In this role,you'llwork in schoolstodirectly helpstudentsovercome learningchallenges in reading/literacy, math, science, and history. This is a summer program that will run 7/8/24-7/26/24.

    Responsibilities

    Roles and Responsibilities

    In this role,you'll:

    • Have familiarity witha variety oflearning platforms and course content, structure, and style within multiple subjectareas in elementary education (reading/literacy,foreign language,math, science,and history).

    • DailyLesson planningandsettinginstructional goals for students

    • Dailyand weeklyplanning with grade level team atassigned school.

    • PLC meetings and all staff Professional Development.

    • Grading and assignment of student workunder direct supervision.

    • Bridge communications between students and teachersregardingspecific course content.

    • Communicate withUI program managementon specific questionsregardingrelevant course content.

    • Review of pacing guide with planning group and supervisor to ensure alignment

    • Individual student instructionwill only happen duringcore instruction times/schedules

    • All school-based protocols and polices around safety, employee handbook and client expectations will be signed off on by our candidates to be understood after review and will be the responsibility of school leadership to ensure.

    • Instructors will not be responsible foradditionaltasks includingbus duties, lunch duties or any assigned tasks outside of instruction asstatedincontractunless it is agreed that these are required by school leadership as instructional needs.

    Knowledge and Skills

    We are looking for someone who candemonstrate

    • Experience providing classroom instruction in the content and grade level assigned

    • Maintain an understanding of instructional pedagogies andmethodologies.

    • Strong oral and written communication skills.

    • Sound attention to detail.

    • Strong ability to work both independently with little supervision and collaboratively as part of a team

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

    As a successful applicant, you must have a passion for helping students succeed. Additionally, you will need tohave the following:

    • Hold a bachelor's degree

    • Three to five years' experience providing K-5 instruction in assigned subject are.

    • Must beprovisionally eligible, "meeting provisional requirements" in thestate applying for. This means they will have a bachelor's degree in the content or aligned to content as defined bythat state's DOE.

    Compensation

    $28-$35/hour
