The studentâ€™s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in managing the museum collection through data entry and editing.
Editing photographs of bicycles and other objects with Adobe Photoshop for use in collection software and on the future Bicycle Museum website.
Scanning, archiving, accessioning, and entering data into the Bicycle Museumâ€™s collection software, The Museum System .
Researching and documenting bicycle related material for the museum archives and records.
Conducts research in identification and interpretation of museum collections.
Assisting Museum staff with Collections/Exhibits, as needed.
Will to work with the staff to serve as a docent to visiting guests during the museumâ€™s public hours, including orienting guests and operating the cash register and gift shop. The museumâ€™s public hours in the summer may require the student to work evenings and weekends.
Assists in setup and assembly of storage areas for collection according to curatorial standards; cleans collection and storage area as needed.
Responds to inquiries regarding collection from museum visitors.
Must be enrolled in college for the Fall 2018 semester
Students with previous experience with Adobe Photoshop is preferred
