The Subatomic Physics Group is looking for a Post-Baccalaureate student to work with our scientific staff on research projects associated with the groupâ€™s experimental efforts. Our group is composed of people with a broad base of skills exploring both fundamental physics questions and practical applications of nuclear and particle physics. Our group includes scientists, engineers, technologists and technicians,postdoctoral researchers, and graduate, undergraduate, high school studentinterns, and support personnel. The candidate will be working in a team environment with some combination of staff, post-docs and other students. The successful candidate will be expected to do the following:
Perform technical work in a laboratory environment to support our research efforts
Document work performed during thepost-baccalaureate tenure
Maintain a safe and secure working environment.
Work as a team member with direction from your P-25 mentor.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Completion of a Bachelorâ€™s degree within thepast 3 years or soon to be completed, with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
A degree which can be applied to the research of the group. (typically science, math or computer degree)
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Education: Completion of a Bachelorâ€™s degree within the past 3 years or soon to be completed, with a cumulative GPA of atleast a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
