  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • All functions, duties, or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical, and professional manner and are to be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures. In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives.

    • Instructs Security Officers and other company employees in legally mandated and company mandated training requirements; ensures compliance with and documents the training requirements of client contract(s).

    • Delivers a variety of courses that may include: new employee orientation, on-the-job training, health and safety practices, customer service techniques and supervisory development as well as client specific requirements.

    • Follows established training policies, programs and schedules to conduct courses; coordinates training activities so as not to conflict with client service schedules. Assists Training Coordinator as needed.

    • Uses appropriate instructional procedures or methods, such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role-playing, and computer based training.

    • Distributes training manuals; administers tests and evaluations; coordinates reference library, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.

    • Maintains records and prepares reports to evaluate performance and monitor progress of trainees.

    • May perform additional security services functions as permitted under any required Security Officer license and as specified for the assigned site(s), in addition to Training Officer duties.

    • Carries out specific tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assigned site(s).8. 8.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

    Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference depending upon the nature of the position

    Basic Qualifications

    • Must be at least 18 years of age.

    • Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., pager or phone).

    • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).

    • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.

    • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.

    • Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

    Education/Experience

    • High School Diploma or G.E.D.; six months of consistent and highly competent Security Officer experience; lead or supervisory experience preferred.

    Background Prerequisites

    Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements

    Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing)

    • Successful completion of Train-the-Trainer (or equivalent) requirements

    • Demonstrated ability to perform at a high level without being subjected to disciplinary actions on a sustained basis for at least 6 months.

    • Skill in the use of audio-visual equipment and personal computers, including presentation software

    • Oral and written communications skills; presentation and group facilitation skills.

    • Skill in the delivery of training programs in multiple settings.

    • Ability to understand the security service needs of customers and devise appropriate training strategies.

    • Skill in observation, coaching and providing feedback to associates.

    • May be required to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers and/or authorization for training Security Officers.

    • Requires valid driver's license.

    • Ability to carry out multiple assignments concurrently.

    • Ability to be an effective team member and handle project assignments responsibly.

    • Strong customer service and results orientation.

    WORKING CONDITIONS (Physical/Mental Demands)

    • Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.

    • Regular computer usage.

    • Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information.

    • May be required to use vehicle for the performance of duties.

    • Regular talking and hearing.

    • Occasional walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.

    • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

    • Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

    • May be required to travel to sites.
