How to Implement an Effective Family Literacy Night
Scholastic workshops are highly interactive and aligned to the most current research. Each workshop focuses on exploring the link between family and community engagement and student achievement. The workshops are designed to raise the power of family engagement and build the capacity of school and district staff to implement effective home school partnerships.
Facilitate professional learning using best practices for adult learning
Facilitate professional learning to support best practices in family engagement
Maintain a high degree of expertise in effective family engagement strategies and Scholastic product knowledge
Implement culturally relevant practices
Support school administrators and building staff to increase their content knowledge and understand their role in the implementation of effective family engagement processes in their building/district
Communicate regularly with supervisor about the ongoing professional learning needs of the school, teams or district staff
Maintain professional relationships with school team or school and district staff
HOW YOU CAN FIT
The qualifications for the position include the following:
â€¢Minimum Bachelors Degree in education or related field
â€¢Strong family engagement content knowledge including knowledge of relevant research and promising practices in family engagement
â€¢Preferred experience supporting schools to implement family engagement practices that promote student achievement and school improvement
â€¢Experienced facilitator with strong knowledge of adult learning strategies
â€¢Strong written and verbal communicator
â€¢Excellent interpersonal skills
