Additional Information:

Directly accountable for ensuring Ascension St. Vincent maintains the Magnet Program® designation. Will serve as a l eader reporting directly to the Vice President of Nursing and is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet application, designation and re-designation processes. Will have a strong focus on project management, data collection, data analysis, data reporting, and data display for nursing performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Coordinate nursing program activities and resources within clinical specialty or department.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee program, making recommendations and acting as a resource for all nursing staff related to patient care and clinical standards, policies and procedures. Develop and document care plans and therapy programs.

• Oversee and ensure plan of care therapy program is implemented as indicated. Ensure necessary resources and/or equipment is obtained as ordered.

• May supervise and direct nursing staff.

• Coordinate, assemble, and maintain documentation as required.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Additional Preferences

• Master's Degree in Nursing

• Doctoral strongly preferred

• Project management experience

• Experience leading an acute care hospital through the Magnet designation and/or Magnet re-designation process including preparation of all related documentation.

• Able to manage time and stress effectively.

• Teaching, coaching and presentation skills.

• Advanced/expert verbal, written, and computer skills.
