With our combined resources, CommonSpirit is committed to building healthy communities, advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable, and innovating how and where healing can happen, both inside our hospitals and out in the community.ResponsibilitiesEssential Key Job Responsibilities+ Performs diagnostic tests through a comprehensive understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology, and technical factors to create optimal results.+ Maintains clinical competence and stays current of clinical and technical advances.+ Instructs assigned classes and develops learning materials.+ Performs formal academic and clinical student assessments.+ Assists the Clinical Coordinator with programmatic and clinical duties.+ Develops and implements feedback mechanisms in the clinical setting.+ Stays current in technical and educational processes and developments. Maintains technical competency.+ Maintains a sound professional rapport with physicians and hospital staff.+ Assists with diagnostic radiography as needed.+ Counsels students pertaining to didactic and clinical needs.+ Communicates problems/grievances with students and staff and proposed solutions to the Educational Coordinator.+ Represents CHI Health in hospital and community committees.+ Provides a role model of technical competency and teamwork for the Imaging department.+ Maintains an active BLS certification.+ Maintains established department policies, procedure and objectives, concerning quality improvement, and environmental conditions. Demonstrates work practices consistent with CHI Health and department-specific safety, security and infection control policies.+ Assumes responsibility for personal and professional growth through participation in department meetings, in-service programs, and continuing education programs.+ Participates in all safety, security and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the department.+ Completes the required hours of continuing education in order to maintain certification in all assigned imaging modalities.+ Maintains professional attitude with patients, visitors, and other hospital personnel while ensuring confidentiality of patient and other hospital information.+ Must have ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.QualificationsEducation:+ Graduate of a 2 year JRCERT approved radiography program+ Active certified member in good standing of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists+ Current Nebraska Medical Radiographer license+ Baccalaureate degree in Radiologic Technology, Education, Sciences, or other Health Care related field requiredLicenses & Certifications:+ Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a Radiographer ARRT(R) certification+ Current Nebraska Medical Radiographers LicenseKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:+ Two years of full-time clinical experience as a Radiographer; Clinical and technical familiarity with all radiologic procedures; previous radiology teaching experience+ Proven ability to handle job related stress+ Proven radiographic technical skills+ Proven organizational, communication, and leadership qualitiesConnect With Us!Not ready to apply, or can't find a relevant opportunity?to learn more about a career at CommonSpirit Health and experience #humankindness.Equal OpportunityCommonSpirit Healthâ„¢ is an Equal Opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
