  • The University of Virginia School of Law invites applications for academic general faculty (non-tenure-track) on the teaching track, to begin on or after August 2023. We will consider faculty in all legal fields.

    These new faculty members will join a vibrant scholarly community in the School of Law, which takes pride in its collegial and supportive environment. Positions will be open to any rank (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) with the rank being commensurate with education and experience. Along with teaching expectations, these faculty positions also have service responsibilities.

    J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school or foreign equivalent degree strongly preferred. In exceptional cases, a terminal degree in the applicant's field (e.g., a Ph.D.) will be considered. Distinguished professional and academic background is expected.

    Rank and compensation subject to individual qualifications and experience.
