    Responsibilities

    Ascension St. Vincent (Primary Care Center) - OB/GYN Faculty Physician

    Ascension St. Vincent is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN Faculty Physician for our OB/Gyn Residency Program and Primary Care Center in Indianapolis. Our Primary Care Center houses multispecialty practices with full-spectrum OB/GYN care. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching residents and medical students; and will be comfortable providing full-spectrum practice and supervision in L&D, clinic, and GYN surgery.

    • Schedule: variable daily clinical assignments between L&D, clinic, and GYN Surgery

    • In-house call: up to 3 times per month with extra call paid at competitive rates. Night call is to supervise the residents.

    • Candidate must be comfortable performing: All general OB/GYN procedures, including but not limited to: Colposcopy, Basic Ultrasound, SIS, IUDs for medical reasons, Endometrial Biopsies, and Hysteroscopy.

    • Location: Well-established 20 resident program at Level 4 Maternity Care Center that is collaborative with other Ascension St. Vincent residency and fellowship programs

    • Collaboration with Family Medicine, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and other subspecialists

    • This is a rare teaching opportunity in a well-established OBGYN residency program. Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for teaching residents and medical students. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior faculty member to learn from a team of experienced faculty. Our hospital system is building a new state of the art women and children's hospital on our main campus, which is scheduled to open in 2024. This will be a wonderful new facility for our faculty, residents and patients alike.

    Requirements

    Licensure/Certification/Registration:

    Required Credential(s):

    • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

    • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

    Education

    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
