    Job Description Summary

    The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Part-time Audio-Visual (AV) Technician to assist with the set up and operate a variety audio-visual systems and devices including but not limited to sound systems, projection systems video and sound recording equipment, mixing boards, microphones, speakers, projectors, video monitors, lighting, and streaming software. Specifically, you will assist with the setup and operation of AV equipment during ICA's public programs. Opportunities will exist to assist with the production of audio and video projects for public programs.

    Job Description

    • Set up and operate a variety of audio-visual systems and devices including but not limited to sound systems, projection systems, video and sound recording equipment, mixing boards, microphones, speakers, projectors, video monitors, lighting, and streaming software. 40%

    • Assist with the production of audio and video projects for public programs. 40%

    • Assist with post-production editing of archival documentation . 10%

    • Consult and conduct research regarding a/v presentation and streaming software, video recording, videoconferencing, and other AV hardware and AV equipment. 5%

    • Perform additional duties as assigned. 5%

    Preferred experience includes: some knowledge of a/v presentation and streaming software, video recording, videoconferencing, and other AV hardware and AV equipment troubleshooting experience. Generous and thoughtful interpersonal skills are required. The ability to work with project leaders, and execute tasks under deadline pressure is essential.

    $22 - $25/hour commensurate with experience and education
