Identify training needs to enhance performance, quality and motivation of corporate and field staff. Develop, conduct, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and managing the oversight for team of curriculum designers.
Develop specific learning and development initiatives to blend technical, business and cultural responsibilities by focusing on succession planning, career development and performance management.
Assess and identify individual and group training needs through key business indicators and develop various training curriculums, materials and aids.
Design and implement instructional strategies that support learning and performance within functional teams.
Determines appropriateness of contracting with outside vendors to accomplish organization's training goals and objectives.
Prepares and approves budgets and travel plans.
Manages the activities related to training and quality programs, analyzes training program effectiveness through examination and understanding of audit results.
Ensures both training and quality programs are continually enhanced to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Ability to travel, per business needs.
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of curriculum design experience, preferably in a managed care/insurance environment.
Familiarity with computer based training tools, vendors and other technology based training platforms.
Knowledge of training methodologies, adult learning styles, and evaluative methodologies in measuring impact on organization and ROI of training expenditures.
Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of staff.
