  • The Department of East Asian Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Virginia invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position on the general faculty in Chinese language. Responsibilities include teaching three courses per semester, contributing to the development of the Chinese language program, and active involvement in departmental service. Courses may include Elementary and Intermediate Chinese, as well as more advanced levels.

    Applicants must have at least a Master's degree in Chinese language, teaching Chinese, or closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates with at least 24 months of experience teaching Chinese at the postsecondary level, either before or after conferral of the degree. Applicants must also have native or near-native fluency in both Chinese and English.
