    The Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences (~~~/) at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs hires Lecturers in Human Physiology and Nutrition for temporary, non-tenure track positions to fill open sections of courses across the curriculum. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time), usually for only one course/lab section, and made on a semester-by-semester basis depending upon current needs. Examples of courses typically taught by this position include introductory lecture and/or lab sections of anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and exercise science.

    The Helen and Arthur E Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences (~~~/) at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs is a distinguished and innovative college providing excellence in education, scholarship, and practice in the health professions.     Work Location: Typically, on-site; position may be partially remote, based on the semester-to-semester need of the department, as determined by the supervisor.

    This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

    What We Offer:

    Salary Range: Pay dependent on number of courses taught. Generally starting at $1,333 per credit hour

    Qualifications

    Please note that while the position details both required qualifications as well as preferred qualifications below, we want applicants to be aware that they do not need to have all of the desired skills and experience to be considered for this position.     Minimum Qualifications:

    • Master's degree or higher in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, exercise science or closely related area; OR a Master's degree or higher in another field (i.e. education) with at least 18 graduate credit hours in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, or exercise science.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous college teaching experience.

    • Professional certifications (e.g. CSCS, ACSM, RD).

    Physical Requirements:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move. Employee is occasionally required to have long periods of sitting, moderate bending, and fine motor skills. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
