    What You Need

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Proven expertise in interpersonal, written, and verbal communications.

    • Proficient in utilizing common computer-based applications, such as Microsoft Office, and adept at leveraging computer-based tools for course development.

    • Demonstrates high professional integrity and upholds a strict commitment to confidentiality.

    • Capable of independently developing, delivering, and revising training.

    • Highly organized, with a keen ability to analyze data relevant to course material, instruction, and assessment.

    • Proven capability to conduct research and identify intricate requirements and policies.

    • Knowledgeable about ESHQ federal, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, or procedures.

    • Provides oversight for staff in supporting roles.

    In addition to the requirements outlined above, qualification at the higher level requ i res:

    • Represent the training program before stakeholders and regulators.

    • Provides expert-level consultative customer service to internal and external customers.

    • Mentors, coaches, and trains other staff within the field.

    • Comprehensive knowledge of Department of Energy (DOE) orders and standards pertaining to training.

    • Advanced knowledge of learning theory and performance-based training techniques.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience with electrical safety, battery safety, and/or LO/TO.

    • Knowledge of learning theory and performance-based training techniques.

    • Problem-solving skills with an ability to lead, instruct and effectively collaborate in diverse environments.

    • Master's degree preferred.

    Education/Experience at lower level : Position requires a bachelor's degree and 8 years of related technical experience in environmental, safety and health related work or instructional background in science-related field.

    Education/Experience at higher level : Position requires a bachelor's degree and 10 years in a related field and; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.

    Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.

    Position Commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.
