    Position Summary:

    Under the leadership of the Learning and Development Manager, the Learning & Development Specialist designs, develops, and delivers training programs that enhance employee performance to reach company goals. The L&D Specialist will implement various training techniques to promote training effectiveness, retention, employee development and growth. This position is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's employees. This position performs research, designs and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance. The L&D Specialist will collaborate with department leaders to evaluate and target ongoing training goals. The L&D Specialist models appropriate behavior as exemplified in Stanley Security's mission, vision, and values. Additional duties assigned by L&D Manager.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Develop and deliver learning and development programs for functional areas of the business using a variety of instructional techniques; to include but not limited to virtual instructor-led (vILT), live instructor-led facilitation and eLearning courses.

    • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, or consultations with managers or instructors.

    • Use performance reviews and skills gap analyses to identify training needs per department, team and individual.

    • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.

    • Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids, and manuals.

    • Evaluate ongoing programs to ensure relevance in business processes and employee development.

    • Create evaluations and report on the effectiveness of training programs to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work behavior.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business or Human Resources

    • 2+ years' experience in:

    • Training delivery in live and virtual environments

    • Developing/designing and delivering training programs/curriculum

    • Use of Learning Management Systems.

    • Designing multiple training events.

    Preferred:

    • Prior experience in security industry.

    • Developing/designing and delivering training programs/curriculum in a corporate environment.

    • Use of eAuthoring tools and virtual training platforms, e.g. Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, Zoom.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong presentation skills.

    • A strategic, proactive, and detailed-oriented multi-tasker

    • Ability to incorporate a team-based approach and work well with others.

    • Skilled at evaluating and researching training options and alternatives.

    • Familiarity with latest trends in learning and development.
