    Description

    The Emory General and GI Surgery Division, with The Emory University School of Medicine and Department of Surgery, is seeking a part-time, temporary faculty member at the instructor level. This is an clinical position.

    SUMMARY OF DUTIES

    • Serve as a general surgeon for the Division of General Surgery / GI within the Department of Surgery with an active inpatient and outpatient practice.

    • Participate in the clinical education, training and development of residents.

    • Teach and Leadership of Emory students and trainees (including PA and NP preceptorships).

    • Develop clinic practice to provide sufficient coverage and care for DOU hospital entities.

    • Participate fully in calls for DOS.

    • Participation in hospital and health system quality initiatives and relevant committees.

    GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Board Certified General Surgeon

    • Successful completion of a 2 year general surgery fellowship in a nationally recognized program

    • A valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia

    • A controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate
