The Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) is seeking a faculty member at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level who will work in the Comprehensive Health Program (CHP), the major HIV prevention and care site at the CUIMC. The successful candidate will be board-eligible or board certified in infectious diseases with interest and experience working with medically underserved populations; Spanish fluency is desirable. The candidate will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team providing integrated HIV specialty and primary care, HIV preventative care and HCV care. General duties will include maintaining a panel of ambulatory patients, attending on the inpatient Infectious Diseases consultation service with ID fellows, and serving as medical attending on the inpatient ID/HIV cluster service. Opportunities for teaching of fellows/residents/students and pursuit of research to answer clinical, translational and health care delivery questions are important components of the position.
Minimum Degree Required
M.D. or equivalent medical professional degree
Candidate must be board certified or board eligible in Infectious Diseases, and must be eligible to practice in the State of New York.
Spanish fluency is desirable.
