This position is tasked with the design and development of technical training content for Cameron Drilling Systems. This position will interact and communicate daily with Subject Matter Experts, Engineering, Field Service, and other team members to create high quality, visually appealing learning content for Instructor-led, and web-based training environments. This position is responsible for the full life cycle of projects from design through evaluation.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and has a desire to learn Cameron products. He or she has the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team environment. Solid communication skills and ability to manage and prioritize tasks is a requirement.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and training development supervisor to identify the tasks and skills that makeup the key competencies required by training initiatives.
Works effectively with engineering, field service, subject matter experts, and team members to design, develop, and improve technical training courses
Keeps management abreast of activities and developments affecting operations training efforts.
Conducts needs and task analysis using a blended learning approach including Instructor-led training, e-learning platforms, knowledge management systems, on-line support tools, and LMS.
Collaborates with production facilities to develop in-house and/or procure training solutions that most effectively meets training needs.
Coordinates with internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure that training programs follow SOP's, best practices, and achieves required results.
Analyze content provided by the client, establish learning objectives, write test questions, assist in determining instructional strategies, and conduct media analysis.
Create a visually pleasing hard-copy layout and blended solutions that use common graphic / visual elements.
Develop competency based training material through a variety of media types
Evaluate and applies effective learning methodologies to improve learning based on audience needs assessment.
Develop and conduct Kirkpatrick Level 2 and 3 (learning and behavior) evaluations to measure the quality and effectiveness of learning solutions.
Analyze evaluations, recommend improvements and debrief results with internal customers.

Intermediate/Advanced level of proficiency in Adobe Create Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, InDesign, Premiere)
3 to 5 years of experience in Instructional Design, Training and Development,
Knowledge of Adult learning theories
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Ability to interact and collaborate with all levels of organization and present material
Creative, good analytical and problem solving skills and can adapt to change.
Technical training or exposure to engineering concepts and/or reading and interpreting engineering schematics and drawings.
3D Modeling, animations, Autodesk, video/sound editing
Knowledge or previous experience in Subsea, Drilling, or possessing hands-on equipment knowledge is a plus.
Experience in designing, facilitating, or leading hands-on or simulator based training environments.
