POSITION SUMMARY :
Designs, develops, tests and evaluates educational courseware for clinical information systems training. Develops and authors e-learning and blended learning programs, web-based training and asynchronous learning content. Develops instructional material; coordinates, writes, and edits educational content; and incorporates current technology for educators developing specific curricula.
COMPETENCIES :
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instruction Design or Education, Master’s degree preferred in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Educational Technology or Education. 10 or more years of experience in Instructional Design, Delivery and Development may replace education degree requirements.
Knowledge: Adult learning theory, Kirkpatrick’s levels of assessment, instructional design models including but not limited to the SAM and ADDIE models. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of course authoring tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Camtasia, and/or GoAnimate, etc...) and graphic development tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Premier. An understanding of the SCORM/xAPI standard . Knowledge of animation and video editing software a plus
Skills: Instructional design, web design and development, project management and office automation software (i.e., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access).
Required Licensure, Certification: None
Work Experience: At least 3 years instructional design experience, preferably in a health care environment.
