The qualified candidate would participate in an MBA program, while working with the Ethics and Audit Division's internal audit group. The program is designed for the working professional wanting to continue their education without compromising work experience and career growth opportunities. The program allows individuals to obtain their MBA in 24 months through a hybrid course delivery method while securing a full-time graduate position at LANL with all tuition and fees covered. The Ethics and Audit Division (EA-DO) supports the Laboratory mission by implementing a disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes across the Laboratory. The position will include the following duties and benefits:
Assist in the completion of internal and subcontract audits in support of the Laboratory's independent internal audit organization
Receive on-the-job training and develop the capability to gather, analyze, and interpret data following the approved audit program
Learn and adhere to the generally accepted auditing standards, and other professional auditing standards and requirements, as applicable
Participate in an MBA hybrid course delivery method, allowing students to participate online for the majority of the program
Provide the opportunity for career advancements, and obtaining professional certificates (CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.)
Provide flexible work schedules to accommodate educational needs; limited to no more than 40 hours of work per week

What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
For this role you must have an understanding of general accounting principles.
Eligibility is limited to students who are admitted or active in a graduate program. You must enroll in and successfully complete a minimum of 6 graduate credit hours per semester. Eligibility is limited to students who initially have and maintain a cumulative 3.2/4.0 GPA
Education/Experience : Currently pursuing a Masters' degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.2 (out of 4.0)
Education and/or experience in the Accounting or Business field
Strong computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new applications
Solid critical thinking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Curiosity and desire to learn
Location: This position will be physically located in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
