    The Work

    As a Pilot Lead, you will:

    • Be responsible for the management of the design, development, and delivery of F-35 pilot training products for the F-35 enterprise.

    • Will monitor and report on Pilot Team production work and identifies the need for and/or prioritizes Problem Tracking Request (PTR) action.

    • Manages schedule requirements and plans and executes change request schedules. Works with the Joint Program Office, U.S. Services, foreign partners/customers, and Instructional System Design (ISD) specialists to ensure the content of all ISD products are technically accurate and that the syllabus design supports the courseware and training devices in the training system

    • Evaluates curriculum changes with ISD and communicates impacts to service and contractor teams.

    • Work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin's Training, Logistics and Sustainment teams on site to fulfill F-35 training objectives.

    • Implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies, as directed.

    Please Note: : This position will require the selected candidate to have or obtain a Secret level U.S. government security clearance before starting with Lockheed Martin, as well as obtain a Special Access Program U.S. government security clearance within a reasonable time after starting the position. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Due to the Government Security clearance requirement U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.

    • Must have operational experience with advanced sensor systems such as NVS, LANTIRN, Helmet Mounted Cuing, and the latest weapons inventory.

    • Must be familiar with current instructional techniques and delivery methods.

    • Must have in-depth knowledge of military publications and an understanding of fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft systems.

    • Must have worked in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature.

    • Must have outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent leadership traits, strong oral & written communication abilities, solid ability to organize, and a high desire to provide customer satisfaction.

    • Use of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is required.

    Desired Skills:

    • Should have a minimum of 1000 hours Fighter Flight Time in fourth and/or fifth generation fighter aircraft and be a former Instructor Pilot (IP).

    • Experience with F-35 pilot training curriculum.

    • Familiarity with F-35 program requirements.

    • Currently possess F-35 Program special access.

    • Experience in Systems Engineering input for Proposals and development of basis of estimates (BOEs)

    • Experience in Cost Account Management and Earned Value Management.

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

    Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
