The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences has a strong Research Division including 22 research faculty with approximately 60 post docs and graduate students. The radiology department obtains approximately $23m in research funding each year, ranking in the top 10 in terms of NIH funding. Departmental faculty collaborate with other schools including with experts in artificial intelligence from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

The Emory Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is home to a large diagnostic radiology residency program (64 diagnostic radiology residents), a nuclear medicine residency program, an interventional radiology residency program, multiple fellowship programs, and a medical imaging school.

Home to the world's busiest airport, enjoy direct flights to multiple cities in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.

The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is fully committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse group of faculty and staff and to promoting a sense of inclusion and belonging for every member of our community. This climate for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion is critical to achieving excellence in patient care, teaching, and scholarship.
