    Responsibilities

    Plans and implements direct and indirect patient nutrition care activities according to the physician's diagnosis across the continuum of care. Acts as a resource for nutrition expertise and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient care needs. Demonstrates substantial knowledge of current medical nutrition therapy (MNT), current principles of nutrition support, nutrition counseling skills, teaching and presentation skills. Screens and rescreens patients to identify those at nutrition risk. Provides nutrition care to individual patients through nutrition assessments, care planning, implementation and evaluation of the interventions and education. Mentors nutrition field experience students, certified dietary manager students and other food service support personnel. Exercises independent judgement in performance of job responsibilities.

    Qualifications

    BS degree in Dietetics or Nutrition. Maintains strategic education plan and continuing education specific to pediatric, adolescent, adult and older adult. Minimum work experience as Clinical Dietitian in an acute care hospital. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge. Practical and constructive decision-making and problem solving skills.Prefer State of Wisconsin Driver's License. Prefer 3 years experience in Clinical Dietitian in acute care and/or long-term care. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or eligible preferred.Must be certified Dietitian in the State of Wisconsin; Registered Dietitian with American Dietetic Association, Commission of Dietetic Registration.

    Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.; $27.55 - 41.37/ hour;
