    SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    The Department of Pharmacy is recruiting an Inpatient Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to expand clinical pharmacy services for the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology patient population. This position will team with an existing clinical specialist position to continue providing comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to the inpatient Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Stem Cell Transplantation service. In addition, the position will allow for the expansion of clinical pharmacy services in the ambulatory pediatric Hematology/Oncology patient population, and participate in and aid in the development of the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology division's Precision Medicine Program.

    Responsible for the overall drug therapy management of patients in specific pharmacotherapy specialty areas and the education of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and pharmacy students regarding the appropriate utilization of medications. The clinical specialist is involved in direct patient care through multidisciplinary rounding and patient monitoring, develops and implements education programs for pharmacists, educates and trains pharmacy residents and students, and provides in-service education to physicians, nurses, and medical students.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

    • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required.

    • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of Pennsylvania.

    • Maintain all pharmacist requirements of the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT)
