BayCare Health System is currently in search of our newest Clinical Nurse Educator who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community at Morton Plant Rehabilitation Center. This 120-bed center is located on the campus of Morton Plant Hospital and offers physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapy in combination with complex nursing services.

• Location Morton Plant Rehab, Clearwater, FL

• Status: Full time, salary

• Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

• Occasional weekends

• On Call: no

The Clinical Nurse Educator assesses, develops, implements, and leads educational activities designed to grow, maintain, and improve the professional competence of clinical Team Members, and creates and oversees assigned clinical programs by completing needs assessments.

• Employs evidence-based practice in educational methodologies and clinical practice

• Assists in the clinical orientation of new Team Members, provides ongoing consultation on educational requirements and existing resources to direct care Team Members

• Actively participates in the quality improvement process, acts as a positive agent of change and communication

• Guides other disciplines in applying principles of evidence-based care to their educational needs.

• Performs appropriate RN functions and other duties when assigned. Follows the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) Scope and Standards of Practice.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License

• Required BSN with 3 years of Clinical Experience OR Bachelor's in Healthcare Related Field with 4 years of Nursing Education

• Preferred professional organization certification

• Preferred ANPD certification

• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

• Preferred ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

• Required experience in a skilled nursing facility and/or long-term care (SNF/LTC)
