J ob Summary

The Clinical Educator will participate in planning, organizing, and evaluation of patient care with an emphasis on orthopedics and oncology in the Medical Surgical Unit and the Medical Telemetry Unit. Under the guidance and supervision of the Vice President of Nursing, this position helps to develop and maintain high quality, evidence-based care through education and training to achieve optimal patient outcomes and a high level of patient satisfaction. This position supports the nursing team and fosters a strong relationship with the leadership, medical staff, and employees.

Job Requirements

a.M inimum Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree required.

Master's Degree preferred.

b.Minimum Experience Requirement:

Previous experience as an educator preferred. Excellent customer service skills required.

Two years' experience with telemetry, oncology, and/or orthopedic patients preferred.

c.Minimum License Requirement:

Current California RN license.

BLS required.

ACLS required within 3 months of hire/transfer.

Chemo Certification required within one year of hire.

Annual 8 hours of Stroke Education required. Certification in area of specialty preferred.

Annual 8 hours of Orthopedic education required.

Pay Range

$48.33 - $69.11
