Biology Co-Instructor (1226)

Overview

University Instructors(UI)is seekingdynamicface-to-face secondary teachersand tutorswith a passion for supporting studentsin grades6-12 Biology. In this role,under the direction of the University Instructors'team, and the school district,you willpartner with long-term subs and teachers to support grades 6-12 instruction.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you'll:

• Engage with students in a friendly and professional manner.?

• Know academic standards, grade level, course content, and best instructional practices in secondary biology.?

• Prepare lessons and provide whole group and differentiated small group instruction.?

• Respond to student questions in a positive and supportive manner, providing as detailed instructions as needed.?

• Work with the students to set and maintain progress goals.?

• Participate in relevant professional development and professional learning communities.??

• Submit records related to attendance, student progress, and other UI program requirements on time.?

• Support with all assigned duties, including lunch, hallway, bus, and other activities when needed.?

• Co-plan with assigned teachers and grade-level teams.?

• Complete other duties as assigned.?

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

As a successful applicant, you must have a passion for helping students succeed. Additionally, you will need tohave the following:

• Hold a bachelor's degree

• Be local to the area

• Two years ofexperience providing instruction in secondary science

Compensation

$28-$35/hour
