    Associate Director of Psychiatric Consultation Liaison Services: Emory University Hospital

    The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science is aggressively expanding our clinical and academic footprint in the metro-Atlanta area as part of our strategic plan. We are looking for engaged and enthusiastic faculty to partner with us and contribute to the field through the tripartite missions of education, research, and quality clinical care.

    Our department is part of the Brain Health Center, a collaborative five-specialty unit that offers an enriched research environment in both laboratory and clinical settings in addition to academic training opportunities in graduate and undergraduate education. Faculty members have opportunities for clinical, research, and academic collaboration with other Brain Health faculty including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Sleep, in addition to the other departments at Emory.

    We are seeking Adult Psychiatrists who are interested in becoming a leader in the growing, dynamic field of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry. The successful candidate will join our Consultation Liaison (CL) faculty as Associate Director of Psychiatric Consultation Liaison Services for Emory University Hospital. As Associate Director the candidate will help lead the way to develop new, innovative models of consultation that involve proactive collaboration with medical and surgical services, use of onsite services and telepsychiatry as a platform providing clinical care and the development of diverse consultation teams that comprise of advance practice nurses, learners and faculty.

    As CL faculty you are part of Emory Healthcare, the largest health care system in the state of Georgia working the state of Georgia's premier hospitals of Emory University Hospital, Emory St. Joseph's Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory's John Creek Hospital, Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory Hillandale Hospital and Emory's Long Term Acute Care Hospital.

    Academic Rank at Emory University School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements.

    Education

    Minimum qualifications include: MD degree and completion of a four-year residency program (psychiatry). Must hold or be eligible for State of Georgia medical license. Must be board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry. An eligibility or certification in the subspecialty of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry is desirable although not required.
