    The Division of Hematology has an opening for a full-time Assistant Professor position.

    The University of Colorado Cancer Center is one of only two NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the entire 8 state Rocky Mountain Region. Headquartered on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, the CU Cancer Center is a consortium of three state universities and six institutions. Together, the more than 440 members are working to ease the cancer burden through cancer care, research, education and prevention and control. Additionally, nearly all researchers who participate in cancer-related basic, translational, clinical, population and behavioral research in Colorado are CU Cancer Center members.     Position Description:

    The Anschutz Medical Campus of the University of Colorado and the University of Colorado Cancer Center are recruiting Academic Hematologist/Oncologists for tenure eligible positions within the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology.

    We are looking for a candidate who is interested in developing clinical and academic efforts around myeloid malignancies. Clinical duties will include attending on the Inpatient Transplant and Malignant Hematology service 8-10 weeks per year and staffing an outpatient clinic 2-3 half-days per week.

    In addition, the physicians will be expected to contribute to the academic mission of the department in terms of research, teaching and participation in programmatic and Departmental meetings and activities. Note that the duties and responsibilities assigned to you may change dependent upon the needs of the Department of Medicine and the Hematology Division.

    Salary and Benefits:

    The salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established at $186,000 to $220,000.

    The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

    The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

    • MD, DO , MD/PhD or equivalent degree

    • Board Certified in Internal Medicine

    • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology or Oncology or both

    • Eligible for Colorado state medical license

    • Experience in treatment of myeloid malignancies
