    Position Summary

    The Department of Clinical Sciences at Colorado State University seeks applications for a 12-month non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Clinical Professor in Anesthesia.

    The Anesthesia position is responsible for the management of the anesthesia caseload at the VTH / JFEH . This position will support clinical and didactic teaching in the DVM and graduate student/resident training program, and research in Anesthesia. The position also supports an important clinical service in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital ( VTH ) and Johnson Family Equine hospital ( JFEH )and Translational Medicine Institute ( TMI )both in terms of client service, research animal support and revenue generation. This faculty position will provide up to 40 weeks of clinical service. The hours vary and can exceed 40 hours on clinic weeks. Numerous opportunities for collaborative research exist throughout the college and university.

    Required Job Qualifications

    Assistant Professor -

    • DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree.

    • Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia.

    • Master's degree in veterinary medicine related field.

    • At least 3 years of expertise in anesthesia clinical service and instruction of veterinary students.

    • Experience with anesthesia for small, large, and exotic animals.

    Preferred Job Qualifications

    Assistant Professor -

    • PhD degree in a Veterinary Medicine related field
