    Description:

    The purpose of this position is to assist Mercy College of Health Sciences' students with specialized instruction in their areas of expertise.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Assists students on a one-to-one or small-group basis to provide learning assistance.

    • Collaborates with instructors to assess the students' needs and how best to address them.

    • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :

    • Completion of a particular course in which assisting is being done with earning at least a "B" from a higher education institution.

    • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ease in relating to people from varying educational, cultural, and social backgrounds.

    • Strong level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.

    • A copy of unofficial transcripts must be uploaded with application.
