Web Services Manager
Title: Web Services Manager Location: New York City Other Locations: null Is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Web Services team; under direction, oversees a portfolio of services critical to the daily operation and performance of key web properties and applications; monitors service case load, intervenes on cases as needed and works with other teams to triage issues; serves as knowledge expert for social media; determines and documents best practices for using social networks in support of business and helps clients utilize external services and applications; leads testing and QA activities within Web Design and Development; devises and documents standards for project quality assurance, browser support and accessibility compliance; creates and maintains tools to ensure testing and certification activities can occur in a repeatable method; oversees quality assurance work sprints; serves as client liaison for web hosting, DNS registration and SSL certificate services; analyzes business functions and work processes; provides recommendations and executes to improve efficiency; performs other job related duties as required. College degree and five years of relevant work experience required or demonstrable equivalent experience; two years of project or team management experience highly desired; must have demonstrable familiarity with core Web concepts (page structure, content management systems, web analytics and browser testing); experience with WebTrends or Google Analytics preferred; previous experience with JIRA highly desired; must be able to work off hours and weekends as needed; familiarity or experience working with web accessibility standards preferred; previous experience within the healthcare or education industries a plus; excellent organization and communication skills.
