Description:
This position will help lead the strategic direction, creation, testing, revision and management of creative content for Laureate Higher Education Group managed Web sites.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Help to define strategic direction for content in collaboration with marketing and other stakeholders.
* Implement content strategy on multiple Web sites and new sites to be launched.
* Help conduct 'A/B' testing, usability testing, and other testing, then interpret site tracking metrics and implement new content tactics based on results.
* Develop processes for all stages of Web content creation and maintenance, including editorial calendars.
* Manage site content, promotions, customer communications, and marketing programs.
* Facilitate the audit and update of current content in conjunction with SME groups.
* Coordinate with executives and staff to ensure seamless executions and customer experience with the Web and Web promotions.
* Educate internal stakeholders about Web best practices and internal processes.
* Manage full-time Web staff and external vendors in the creation and maintenance of Web content.
* Manage and evolve Web content and architecture based on customer input and changing technologies.
* Make recommendations regarding the design of content layout, templates, navigation, and other functionality.
* Coordinate with the central marketing Web Team on site metrics and business goals.
* Coordinate with IT on technology issues.
Experience:

* 3 to 5 years of management, editing and Web experience
* Sound knowledge of Web technology, technical aptitude and problem solving skills
* Proven understanding of Web site development life cycle
* Ability to identify critical information in business context and organize it in a manner that makes sense to the broad user group, web or UI design
* WCMS system and marketing communication experience
* Experience with Web analytics tools (Omniture) and marketing copy testing strategies
* Experience conducting and interpreting usability testing
* Experience with Web 2.0 and mobile Web technologies
* Experience with search engine optimization techniques
* Experience with Content Management Systems (RedDot, SiteCore desired)
* Classifying content and application of taxonomy
* Superior proofreading and editorial skills, excellent writing skills (grammar, spelling, and punctuation) with a focus on writing for the Web
* Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, PhotoShop, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Dreamweaver, etc.)
* Demonstrated project management skills
* Experience managing staff and vendors (preferably at a distance)
* Proven ability to handle a high-volume workload and manage multiple projects within deadlines
* Effective communication skills
* Must be organized and self-starter, self reliant with good initiative
* Self teacher
* Demonstrated teamwork
* Demonstrated detail orientation and follow through
* Effective organizational skills and ability to appropriately prioritize tasks
* General understanding of university organization and related processes
