? Generate, design, prove and integrate innovative ideas to further the capability of the electrical/electronic architecture of the Light Armored Vehicle.
? Develop embedded software in accordance with industry standards, departmental and organizational process and procedures.
? Develop graphical Human-Machine Interfaces, working closely with Human Factors Engineering.
? Design and integrate network architectures using CAN, Mil-CAN, and Ethernet.
? Conduct hardware and software testing to verify concepts, and progress viable designs to a production-ready / TRL7 level.
? Define and document software and hardware requirements based on internal and external customer needs.
? Document designs with detailed requirements documentation, specifications, system functional descriptions, block diagrams, schematic diagrams, UML diagrams, ICDs, test plans, and technical reports.
? Participate in peer reviews and design reviews


? University degree or college diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Software Engineering
? 5 yrs or more work experience with embedded system software development (C, C++), electronic hardware design, microcontrollers and processors (x86, PowerPC, Freescale).
? Experience with software development tools such as NI LabVIEW and Measurement Studio, MS Visual Studio, and CodeWarrior Development Studio.
? Experience with configuring and using embedded operating systems such as Windows, Linux, QNX, VxWorks
? Experience with data networks: SAE J1939, USB, RS485, Ethernet
? Exceptional test and troubleshooting skills.
? Highly motivated for personal and team success.
? Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
? Proficient with Microsoft Office software
