Achieving New Heights Building Better Futures Tutor Job Description Company Overview: Achieving New Heights is a year round education service providing tutoring in Math, Reading, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, OAA and OGT preparation. We assess all students with pre, mid and post test that allows us to set goals, monitor growth and to provide progress reports to students, parents and school administration. Student(s) will participate in kinesthetic activities, hands-on learning projects and are expected to complete oral and written assignments. We value student/teacher relationship and pride ourselves with providing a safe environment where students feel confident in answering questions and even making mistakes. We believe all students are reachable and possess the ability to learn at any level. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Candidate needs to effectively communicate academic instruction to all students, either in a group or individually. Establish an ongoing relationship with teachers and school administrators to consistently communicate student growth. Attend periodic training sessions provided by ANH for increased knowledge and use of best practices. Provide student evaluations and various reports as requested by ANH management. Assist students to develop study skills, self-confidence, positive attitudes and an overall better understanding of targeted subject area. Possess the ability to be creative, supportive, flexible and organized. Serve as a role model. Education Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Education w/ Licensure preferred (or currently obtaining). Bachelor degree in related field accepted, will considered Associate degree w/ extensive tutoring experience.
