The Technical Support Professional serves as the key technical point of contact for inside and enterprise sales groups. The Technical Support Professional works in a consultative role to assist in the successful closings of new deals and repeat purchases by performing pre-sales support and on-site demonstrations to prospective customers. The ideal candidate should have a solid technical background. Experience in solution selling and other enterprise sales skills is not required; however, the candidate must be comfortable working with the sales team and client prospects.
Responsibilities:
Present and demonstrate product offerings tailored to customer objectives remotely and on-site
Provide proactive support to prospective clients
Become an expert in the features, benefits of applications
Communicate with prospective customers assisting and guiding through the evaluation and selection process
Deliver web-based training sessions for clients
Act as the customer advocate and liaison for product management and development
Propose and/or design technical solutions, which include creating prototypes and proofs of concept
Align product line to provide a comprehensive solution that satisfies the customer’s business needs
Working knowledge of software integration using Microsoft Windows Server technologies
Backup the technical support team as needed
Requirements:
BA/BS Degree is required
5 to 10 years of technical experience; SharePoint, web server (IIS preferred) or database (SQL preferred) experience. (Sales Support Experience is not required)
Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
High level of customer service ability
Ability to work individually and within a highly collaborative team setting
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast paced environment
