Omnicell is looking for a C#.Net Software Engineer to join our team as we build new products and continue to develop and expand our existing product lines. Drawing from your extensive experience with Windows application development using .NET, you will have a key role in designing and developing products focused around reporting, data warehousing and Business Analytics. Additionally, this role involves interaction with the core architecture team and experts from other product teams to develop common, re-usable designs and components.
- Work directly with Product owner to turn user stories into a working C#.Net production ready application - Use object oriented design patterns and practices to develop maintainable code - Use test driven development practices including inversion of control, object mocking, etc. the provide optimal test coverage - Create appropriate level of documentation both within the code and through external documents tailored toward specific departments including training, support, and operations. - Collaborate with Quality engineers to guide the integration testing with other Omnicell applications - Guide technology decisions by evaluating and recommending specific technologies to pursue - Describe and document designs using industry standard tools and artifacts - Describe and document designs using industry standard tools and artifacts - Work closely with Engineering, Marketing, and Operations teams to analyze product requirements, and design solutions to meet internal and external customer needs - Guide technology decisions by evaluating and recommending specific technologies to pursue
Required Skills:
- Expertise with C#.Net - Expertise with enterprise reporting and data warehousing - Expertise with Visual Studio 2008 with Team System, .Net framework 3.5 - Experience with Microsoft SQL Reporting Services - Experience in developing database applications using MS SQL Server and TSQL - Familiarity with object oriented designs, patterns, and anti-patterns. - Knowledge of Agile software development lifecycle management - Demonstrated ability to work with multiple development teams without formal authority - Effective teacher with excellent written and verbal communication skills - 8+ years hands-on experience in software development primarily in Windows thick client application development - 5+ years of application development using C#.NET
Education required: - BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
