Sr. Product Manager - Strategic Mobile Content
Telenav Content Group manages local content that includes hundreds of millions of entities and supports many of the company's location based services in US and International markets. The group uses sophisticated technology and machine learning techniques to acquire, process, and publish content. As a Sr. Product Manager, you will develop end-to-end content strategy and be responsible for its execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify content needs and find and evaluate content sources
Develop content acquisition strategy which may range from real-time mashup to batch-oriented processing
Research domain specific data providers and standards in a variety of subjects (e.g. Business listings, International points in interests, health, entertainment, education)
Write business use cases, detailed requirements, work with engineers and data scientists, and monitor day-to-day progress
Monitor competitive landscape
Partner with data providers and support contract negotiation
Evaluate and judge algorithmically generated data and assess its quality
Qualification and Experience:
BS CS. MS in Computer Science a plus.
8+ years of experience in processing large volumes of data including acquisition, curation, de-duping, enrichment, and classification
Experience in local content (e.g. points on interests, events, entertainment, schools, hospitals)
Experience in deep web crawling, real-time data mashup
Understanding of competitive landscape and mobile products
Ability to work with across groups and balance many projects
