SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST - Home Health Speech Therapy
This position is located in
Lexington, VA. Variable geography based on patient needs. Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. 4:30 p.m. as needed. Will work approximately 24 hours per week. Carilion Stonewall Jackson Home Health is seeking a regular part-time, Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team. Basic Functions: Confirms and interprets physician referrals, performs patient assessments, plans and implements individualized treatment programs taking into account the patients developmental and/or chronological age and medical diagnoses in accordance with the regulations governing the principles and practice of Speech-Language Pathology.
Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Experience: One year of clinical experience required. Home Health or Hospice experience preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association; Licensed to practice in the
Commonwealth of Virginia. Valid VA drivers license.

Qualifications:
Effective interpersonal, communication, customer service and teamwork skills required. CPR (from a Carilion approved program) certified within six months of employment. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as interaction with internal and external customers is part of job duties. Clear criminal record check required.
