Duties And Responsibilities
& Minimum Requirements: Georgetown University's Center for Language Education and Development (CLED) is seeking a full-time Academic Coordinator for its Special Programs unit.
This is a 12-month a year staff position with teacher training/evaluation responsibilities.
Responsibilities include
.Oversight of faculty and tutors in on-site Georgetown Special programs with full supervisory responsibilities for tutors.
.Quality control of Special Programs curriculum and program
.Participation in the recruitment, selection and orientation of candidates for the U.S. Department of State-sponsored English Language Fellow program as well as setting up and delivering pre-TESOL workshops for EFL professionals sponsored by the Department of State.
.Event planning for English for Heritage Language Speakers (EHLS) symposia and graduation.
Minimum qualifications: Masters degree and 3 years minimum experience with faculty supervision and curriculum development. Complete familiarity and thorough professional knowledge of the field of TESOL. Cross-cultural training and strong English communication skills.
