Soldiers Skill Trainer
Description: Plans, prepares, conducts and reviews Peacekeeping Operations Soldier Skills Training (PSOSST) for ACOTA partner nation military forces preparing for peacekeeping missions. The PSOSST Trainer instructs and supervises individual and collective training for up to company sized units of ACOTA partner military forces at the host nation training sites. Training sites may be in remote areas and training will occur in austere conditions. Deployments in support of ACOTA training rotations may involve up to 12 or more weeks operating in the partner nation.
Training will support unit mission training task lists and will include varying peacekeeping related tasks; crowd control, mounted and dismounted basic infantry squad and platoon battle drill, basic rife marksmanship, close quarters battle, counter-IED, reconnaissance, checkpoint operations, rules of engagement, UN mission orientations, HIV/AIDS prevention, individual first aid, health maintenance, human rights issues, etc. Trainers are also responsible for reviewing or preparing POIs, lesson plans, training support plans, and training schedules to support contract task order s is a part time position.
Basic Qualifications: Minimum of five (5) years U.S. military operations and training experience in a Combat Arms specialty. For functional training requirements Trainers must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in a Combat Support or Combat Service Support specialty. Functional training centers on Military Police, Engineer, Medical, and Driver's Training.
