Job Title: Software Engineer State: Massachusetts Description: The Surveillance Systems Group pioneers integrated sensing and decision support systems for both Air Traffic Control and Homeland Air Defense. To accomplish these goals, this group employs a broad base of analysis, modeling, algorithm development, signal processing, software architecture and development, RF and digital hardware design, and system integration skills. A software engineer is needed to develop service oriented architecture (SOA) network technologies for Air Traffic Control and Homeland Protection applications. Position involves software development for sensor network connections, network services, network applications and sensor data processing and display. Requirements: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. In lieu of an MS degree, a BS degree with 2+ years of related experience will be considered. Candidate should have several years experience in software development in Java or C/C++ and experience developing SOA software. Experience with Web Services, Enterprise Service Bus, and/or web application development required. Experience with enterprise and tactical edge software systems in multiple domains highly desired. Familiarity with system analysis and design tools such as UML, SysML, and/or DoDAF desired. Experience with algorithm development and/or radar data processing a plus. Strong programming skills with Java, C/C++ and experience with modern software development tools is required. Demonstrated ability to apply common architectural patterns across the different systems and domains. Must have demonstrated written and oral communication skills, and be able to work well in a cooperative team environment. City: Lexington
