This position will require an experienced developer with a strong focus on quality deliveries that is a solid team player.
The successful candidate will have superior Java and database development skills, be capable of supporting applications in a variety of environments (integration, QA, production), have some experience with identity management (e.g. LDAP, AD), be able to translate requirements into designs, and be a clear communicator (both written and verbal).
The key responsibilities for this position include the following:
* Working with the architect to design complex software systems
* Analyzing requirements to design, implement, and test software components

* Following the SDLC and coding standards while contributing to their evolution.
* Providing periodic production environment support
* Estimating implementation duration for tasks
* Supporting QA in their testing activities The role also carries operational responsibilities after the application is deployed and operational. Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field.
* 5-7 years of overall experience designing and developing software applications, including 2+ years of experience as a senior developer, including mentoring others, code reviews, etc
* Must have been the only or the lead developer on a sizable implementation and demonstrated good leadership skills, effectively estimated tasks, as well as plan and assign work as necessary.
* Strong knowledge of J2EE /Weblogic technology and frameworks (e.g. Struts, Log4J, etc.), Web Services and related standards.
* Experience with at least one of the major RDBMS systems, preferably Oracle
* Strong UML, design patterns, and object-oriented design skills
* Experience working on systems for high availability, security, manageability, and reliability
* Comprehensive knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies, especially RUP, and been part of a team that delivered projects through the complete SDLC
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong aptitude and desire to learn new technologies and tools
* Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines Additional Qualifications In addition to the required skills, the ideal candidate will have these highly desirable skills:
* Participation in projects developing security solutions using an Identity and Access management suite.
* Ability to design systems for high availability, security, manageability, reliability.
* Understanding of design considerations for high volume transaction systems.
