Additional Information Purpose of positionCoordinate activities associated with large and complex IT shared services projects for UT System health institutions participating in the activity. Includes project planning, requirements definition, analysis, implementation, development of risk mitigation strategies, and ensure quality of the project.
Essential functionsThe senior project manager is dedicated to medical billing coding software and clinical trials management system strategic initiatives sponsored by the Office of Health Affairs. Assist in developing detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and risk management plans for complex IT projects.Execute and manage multiple projects: manage and control project activities in accordance with plans and schedules while making adjustments to improve project flow by ensuring team members are aware of tasks and expected deliverables. Negotiate resource adjustments to facilitate flow. Analyze business processes, IT processes, and system functionality to determine gaps and process inefficiencies. Facilitate solutions to close gaps, solve problems, and improve processes. Coordinate and facilitate communication across multiple stakeholders, and sponsors.

Required qualificationsBachelor's degree with seven years of related professional experience.
Preferred qualificationsMaster's degree with more than ten years of related professional experience. Project Management Institute Project Management Professional certification. Successful experience in implementing registration and billing systems (clinics and/or hospitals), electronic medical records (clinics and/or hospitals), contract and grant systems (pre-awards and/or post-awards), clinical trials management system, revenue cycle operation systems (e.g., front and/or back end), and/or charge capture automation systems. Experience with PeopleSoft ERP suites. Experience managing projects across multiple university institutions.
Working conditionsMay work around standard office conditions. Travel required.
