Senior Internal Auditor - IT (Sports Management/Finance/Admin)
This job contributes to our success by bringing a systematic disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of our risk management, control, and governance processes and to help our company accomplish its organizational objectives. The focus of this role will be scoping, planning and executing both assurance audits as well as advisory, consultative reviews in the IT and SAP environments.
Responsibilities include:
Perform pre and post implementation reviews for large scale process/systems projects including SAP and eCommerce applications.
Work with others in IA on integrated projects including process/application reviews.
Coach and guide key business and IT partners on risk, governance and control concepts and proactively participate on significant projects.
Develop strong client relationships and work closely with leaders to foster an environment of open communication where IA is viewed as a trusted advisor.
Ensure there is alignment between our IA IT projects and co-op priorities and that there is clear focus on not only identifying areas of improvement but also communicating them clearly and succinctly.
Present audit findings verbally and in writing to IA management and mid and senior management including suggesting improvements in process, policy and/or technology areas as appropriate.
Provide value add and objective consultation on governance, risk, and control related topics
Participate in co-op-wide risk assessment and other special projects as requested by IA management
Qualifications:
BA/BS
5+ years internal audit and/or risk management consulting experience
3+ years of supervisory experience in a mid to large company environment preferred
Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal audit and Information Technology standards and frameworks, including Security & Privacy and Data Management disciplines
Strong understanding of operational and technology processes
Prior experience working with and/or auditing SAP and supporting platforms
